Club Info

The Albury Wodonga Chrysler Club is always open to new members and Chrysler enthusiasts. Please browse our website and feel free to contact us regarding club business or the COTM show.

History

In 1990, a group of Chrysler car enthusiasts in the Albury (NSW) and Wodonga (VIC) area joined together to form the Albury Wodonga Chrysler Car Club inc. The AWCC is a social club dedicated to Chrysler produced vehicles of Australia and American design of any era. In 1992, we held our inaugural car show, “Mopars on the Murray”.  The show, now known as “Chryslers on the Murray”, has grown to be the largest Chrysler show in the southern hemisphere.

The Albury Wodonga Chrysler Club caters for all Chrysler products from the first Dodge through to new Chryslers, original and modified. We have monthly meetings and usually have a run once a month and also attend Chrysler shows and events, as well as social outings.

The monthly general  meetings are held in the Manor House Hotel, Young Street, Albury NSW, commencing at 7.00pm for dinner and meeting, on the first Tuesday of each month, except for January (TBA).  All members and visitors are welcome.

The committee meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday at Manor House Hotel when required.

We have a bi-monthly newsletter called the Pentastar which is circulated to members, various local clubs and most Chrysler clubs.

Albury/Wodonga is located on the Victorian/NSW border, on the banks of the Murray River, and is approx 600kms south of Sydney, NSW and 300 kms north of Melbourne, Victoria.  The Murray River is Australia’s longest river.

In order for a vehicle to qualify for club registration, certain criteria must be met.

A Victorian Certificate of Roadworthiness must be sighted with the initial application form.

The new application will go to the Club Committee for consideration.

Once approved, photos of the vehicle will be required by the Club, the necessary forms will be signed by the Secretary, and photos and other details kept on record as per our agreement with VicRoads.

The returned form must be presented to VicRoads to register the vehicle.  Vic Roads may, at their discretion request a vehicle inspection.

Once on Club registration, the vehicle must only be used according to the rules as provided by AOMC and Vic Roads.  The Club has a copy of the handbook containing these rules, remember the onus is on the driver to ensure the vehicle is maintained in a Roadworthy condition at all times, and is not modified beyond the scope of the scheme.  The Club Secretary can access relevant information regarding modifications if needed.
